Undergraduate Web Internship, Summer 2014 – New York, NY

The Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law is a non-partisan public 
policy and law institute that focuses on improving the systems of democracy and justice. A 
singular institution – part think-tank, part public interest law firm, part advocacy group – the 
Brennan Center combines research, scholarship, legislative and legal advocacy, and 
communications to win meaningful, measurable change in the public sector. 
We are seeking an intern to provide administrative and clerical support to the Communications 
Department’s Web staff in our New York office. 

Responsibilities: Activities and responsibilities may include:

  •  Updating the website with blog posts, analysis, videos, photos 
  •  Optimizing web pages 
  •  Posting to social media 
  •  Updating our contact database 
  •  Providing general online support 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Basic knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Excel, social media 
  •  Excellent writing skills 
  •  Interest in online communications 
  •  Passion for our issues 
  •  Initiative, imagination, and versatility 
  •  Be open to evolving responsibilities 

This internship is only open to current undergraduate students. 

Hours: 16 hours per week with one day (Friday) in the office 
Pay: $11.00 per hour.
